Its commercial activity extends to more than 155 countries in the 5 continents.
The origin of the company dates back to 1890. Currently, GARCIA CARRION produces wines in more than 10 Denominations of Origin throughout Spain. It has its own wineries and vineyards throughout the peninsula. Also it has D.O wines such as Mayor de Castilla, Viña Arnaiz, Marqués de Carrión, Antaño, Señorío de los Llanos, Pata Negra or Jaume Serra. All these brands have a maximum of GARCIA CARRION: exceptional quality wines.
To achieve the objective, a significant investment has been made to implement the most modern technology in all its warehouses. The application of this technology has allowed GARCIA CARRION to reduce its operating and logistics costs while improving quality continuously.
OBJECTIVES
- Within the initiative of digital transformation of the supply chain, migrate from APO to IBP making the transition as simple as possible
- Update and improve the forecasting and demand management process
- Automate and reduce the time spent on manual activities
RESULTS
- Improvement and update of the process incorporating new functionality. New process such as: automatic cleaning of the sales history, automatic calculation of the statistical forecast, adjustment of the forecast, incorporation of events and drivers in the forecast, automatic distribution to the center…
- New tool with greater usability, taking advantage of Excel’s capabilities as a user interface
- Automation of calculation of sales forecasts.
- Reduction of forecast error and considerable reduction of time spent creating the baseline
- On-demand reports integrated into the tool
