Summary
CELSA Group is a European multinational leader in long steel products. In order to centralize all the planning information, CELSA group looked for a tool that would facilitate their work. Finally, they opted for SAP IBP, and from Saptools we have been responsible for the technological consultancy. Within the scope of the project and with the aim of improving the calculation of sales forecasts, machine learning models have been applied that have allowed a significant improvement in the accuracy obtained.
OBJECTIVES
- Tool that allows to share information and collaborate between teams from different areas; planning, operations, commercial, etc. They looked for an effective collaboration.
- Unified tool with the aim of having a single data.
- Generation of an automatic baseline based on machine learning.
RESULTS
- The planning and supervision of the company are centralized.
- All users work with a single tool, SAP IBP.
- Tool with a single frontend, comfortable for users (excel).
- Improves the accuracy of the base forecast thanks to the use of machine learning algorithms.
