Waterfall or Agile.<\/h2>\n<p>In this article, we pretend to give you some keys so you can identify <strong>which of the two methodologies (Waterfall or Agile) are better for your project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Waterfall model: What is it, advantages and disadvantages<\/h3>\n<p>It is a work methodology used for the development of IT projects. It is the most traditional, that is why most of the people use it.<\/p>\n<p>This Waterfall methodology is a sequential methodology. It works very well in companies or processes that are very well structured. It is based on the premise that the user knows what he wants.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3881\" src=\"https:\/\/saptools.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/1-450x377.png\" alt=\"Modelo Waterfall\" width=\"450\" height=\"377\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.saptools.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/1-450x377.png 450w, https:\/\/www.saptools.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/1-768x644.png 768w, https:\/\/www.saptools.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/1-543x455.png 543w, https:\/\/www.saptools.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/1.png 940w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Among its advantages, it stands out that in the Waterfall model it is <strong>very easy to plan<\/strong> since there are a series of tasks in a sequential format. In addition, it is a <strong>documentation-based model<\/strong> which makes the whole process much easier.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, this model has also its disadvantages. It is a <strong>very rigid model<\/strong> and hardly adaptable to possible changes during the course of the project. It should also be noted that there is the possibility that the <strong>final product does not match the expectations of the customer<\/strong>, which we consider a great disadvantage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Modified Waterfall Model<\/h3>\n<p>From the disadvantages of the Waterfall model, it emerges the <strong>modified Waterfall model<\/strong>. This model is based on the premise that<strong> the user does not always know exactly what he wants to extract from the project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3898\" src=\"https:\/\/saptools.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Requirements-450x377.png\" alt=\"Metodolog\u00eda Agile\" width=\"450\" height=\"377\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.saptools.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Requirements-450x377.png 450w, https:\/\/www.saptools.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Requirements-768x644.png 768w, https:\/\/www.saptools.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Requirements-543x455.png 543w, https:\/\/www.saptools.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/Requirements.png 940w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The biggest advantage of this model is that<strong> end-users are involved<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>But there are also disadvantages. On the one hand, <strong>the entire team has to be involved in the project<\/strong> and therefore more resources are needed. On the other hand, it is <strong>more complicated to plan<\/strong>, since using this methodology it is easy for the project to be extended.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>And in Saptools how do we work?<\/h3>\n<p>In Saptools<strong> we always adapt to the needs of the client<\/strong>, so analyzing the type of client and project we see which is the most efficient work methodology.<\/p>\n<p>So Waterfall or Agile? Who is involved?<\/p>\n<p>Research: Is this really the problem? What else can we do?<\/p>\n<p>Synthesize: Define the problem.
